Keydiy KD-MP and KD-X4 Successful MLB Key Programming on 2025 Taycan

A Keydiy user recently shared a successful 2025 Porsche Taycan All Keys Lost programming case, providing valuable insight into how modern Porsche security systems interact with KeyDIY tools.
In this real-world scenario, the technician began by using KD-MP tool to extract the immobilizer data directly from a dealer key. This method allows IMMO data retrieval without removing modules or accessing the vehicle’s internal electronics, making the process faster and safer. After obtaining the required data, the user switched to KD-X4 key programmer to complete the on-vehicle programming and initialize the new key.

The most surprising discovery came during the procedure: this specific 2025 Taycan did not have SFD2 protection enabled. This supports growing industry observations that SFD2 is not implemented across all Porsche models. Instead, it appears to be selectively applied—meaning some new Porsche vehicles may still allow full key programming using aftermarket tools like KeyDIY.

This case demonstrates the efficiency of KD-MP + KD-X4 workflow, especially for advanced EV models such as the Taycan. The experience also reassures technicians that KeyDIY remains a capable solution for many modern Porsche vehicles.
